As a proverb goes: Don’t cut the person to fit the cloth. Cut the cloth to fit the person. Don’t cut or bend the truth to fit your beliefs. Set your beliefs towards the truth. When we are attached to any beliefs, it blinds our eyes to see the truth clearly. Belief is nothing to do with truth. Beliefs stem from our ignorance, greed and fear. When we don’t have true confidence in ourselves, we end up having beliefs in external things. First we need to have guts to say, ‘I don’t know’, when we don’t know. That’s the starting point of skillful/critical thinking. That’s the root of our intelligence and the source our dignity!

I gave you intelligence...

To understand the world to navigate;

To build tools to survive - And

To forecast weather to cultivate.

I gave you intelligence...

To eradicate pandemic diseases;

To find cure for dreadful illnesses;

To overcome the oceans and the sky;

To conquer the space – And

To touch your feet on the moon!

Intelligence is power – But

I'm not arrogant – And

I'm not judgmental – As

Open mind is my prerequisite!

Succumb to blind beliefs;

Its arrogant claims - And

Its judgmental views!

You talk about sins - And

Dreadful fire in hell – But

You burn people alive - And

You curse their souls!

Open your mind – And

Far richer and grandeur – Than

The blind arrogant claims!

Far complex and amazing – That

You can't fathom in dreams!
